I'm an art education major, and my college puts on an annual student exhibit every spring. I'm a senior, and this year I had two pieces in the show. At the reception every year, the annual departmental awards/scholarships are announced. There are only 5 total, and I won 2 of them.

I didn't go to the reception because I had a terrible migraine that night. A friend texted me and told me I had won two awards, and then I felt awful for not sucking it up and going. I just feel like from the department's perspective, I come off as not worthy of the awards I won since I can't even be there to accept them. So, AITA for not going?
