I live in an age diverse neighborhood everyone from young people to seniors. On trash day I set my recycling out like everyone else except that my wife and kids drink soda and to make room for the cans we crush them. The only issue is my neighbor goes through our recycling looking for cans for the deposit, yet the state doesn’t charge a deposit. Neighbor just loads up the bottles and cans and drives the couple of miles to another state that has a deposit. I really don’t care about him going through the recycling container except when he doesn’t find any intact cans he kicks the container on its side. AITAH for crushing the cans? I might add that he is not indigent and drives a nicer vehicle than I do and my trail cam caught him kicking the bin.
