I (21F,) back living at my parents with a sibling but moving out in a few weeks. I do EVERYTHING here and even thats still an understatement. Even when i was moved out, when i came to visit everything was left a mess for me to deal with. As I “wasnt doing anything while visiting,” am i not a guest visiting? Why do i have to clean when i visit? My sister (she doesnt live here) was visiting and called me an unpaid maid while i cleaned up dinner, which i slyly agreed. But then im the bad guy? If i dont do it, it doesnt get done and piles for days. If i start doing it, once i finish everyone will say “oh i was going to do that,” then say it when i first start it?? Not once im done?? My dad today complained that he’ll have to do everything once im gone and i shouldn’t leave. I said “yeah I wasnt kidding when i agreed about being a maid.” He gave me a look of frustration but also sadness? AITAH for saying that? I feel like it’s justified, were all adults and its not that hard to do the bare minimum each day to keep a clean space ?
