I had been at my FT job for 4 years. I’ve been toying around with the idea of going back to school. There’s a program I am potentially interested in ,that starts up this May( starts the first week). Which is pretty short notice. Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to start until July. My work schedule has been posted through til the end of may. Would I be an asshole to tell them I’m cutting back to PT with only 2 days available to work despite my schedule already being out and on short notice? Part of me doesn’t feel bad because I’m so burnt out and feel like I’ve been taken advantage of at this job. And then part of me thinks it would be an asshole move considering I plan to still work here while I go to school. The reasonable side of me says to just wait and do the July class but I think the burnt out side of me is saying get in a program ASAP so I can change careers ASAP.
