Girl and I used to work at restaurant together. We got close but like very close at work and didn’t talk much out of work. When I left she wanted to give me a guitar of hers as a goodbye gift in a way. This guitar has history with her and it’s something most wouldn’t just give or sell to anyone. But last minute she said she’ll give it for $100 and when she gave it to me she was surprised when I gave her the money as if she wasn’t expecting it.

Anyway I liked her and everyone including me thought she felt the same. She didn’t, I told her I’d like space. Anyway she likes my friend and I gave him my blessing to pursue her as he said he wasn’t if I wasn’t cool with it. They are definitely close and probably already made moves. But I wish it was me she liked and not him. I’m cool with him though. I’m glad she’s at least getting with someone I trust and care about.

So in may my friend, the one who is close with her. Planned a day for 5 of us to go to including me and her. He originally intended this for me and her to get closer. obviously that didn’t happen. WIBTA I got a new job and she did too and is working with me again. I am thinking of leaving cause of her and also job is 40 minute drive.

But I am thinking of giving her that guitar she gave me and saying goodbye forever and moving on. I said we could be friends but i don’t think I can. If I do this I will ruin the planned trip as my friend really wants me to go as we can’t hang out much anymore. But I want to cut out his soon to be gf. We don’t talk much so it wouldn’t make a difference in everyday life but it would be relieved that I know she’s no longer in my life.

So WIBTA if i tell my friend’s soon to be gf (the girl I liked) to not talk to me and goodbye?
