📝 WIBTAH if I skipped out on my childhood best friend's show?

I (20F) have known my childhood best friend (22F) since grade school. We go to colleges around an hour and a half apart from each other. Ever since we started college, she's been quite distant, but more so than ever this year. Normally, we catch up occasionally and she always texts me on holidays, but this year, she didn’t say anything on Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years. But she did text my sister. On Christmas morning, my sister got a Merry Christmas text from her and asked me if I got the same text. I checked my phone and nothing. Then she showed me the Happy Thanksgiving text. Nothing on my end either. My sister and I both were shocked by this. Eventually, I confronted her about this, but she played it off, saying she was just "busy" and that she "can talk to who [she] want[s]."

She pulls the "busy" card quite frequently. So frequently that my family has begun to question our friendship. I can't think of anything I could've done to deserve this treatment from her. We haven't had any fights or arguments apart from this. I asked a mutual friend if he had seen any weird behavior from her, and he said the last time he saw her, she looked quite annoyed, and he could also tell by the tone of her voice. The last text she responded to was on December 4th, and since then, she has left me on read. Something's up for sure, I can tell.

Spring has sprung, and my childhood best friend's annual show is coming up. It's the one chance a year I can see my best friend in her element, since we're both in school. Historically, I've always gone with her family. But because of her increasingly distant behavior, I'm having second thoughts about attending this year. Part of me is saying I shouldn't go because of all this, but the other part says I should keep supporting her like I always want to do with all my friends. I highly value loyalty, and I try to make every effort to instill that in my friendships.

I'm quite torn. WIBTAH if I skipped her show this year?
