been with my bf for about 2 years, recently he got me flowers that light up with batteries. they’re tulips, my favorite but i personally wouldn’t buy those myself as i think they look a tacky and it isn’t my style at all. another occasion he got me knock off lego tulips (which I don’t mind bcoz real Lego is frikin expensive) but again it’s a style I wouldn’t have picked up myself. i really do appreciate the effort though it’s just that i only want to display the stuff he gets me because he got it for me, not bcos I really like it. for special occasions (my bday/christmas) I usually give him a wish list so I know I’ll like and use the gift 1000%.

so will telling him that I don’t really like the flowers be an asshole thing to do? should i even bring it up? pls help
